About the Artist
Patricia Shoemaker is a landscape and still life painter, working in oil, pastel and watercolor. She attended Wells College, the Art Student’s League and received her BFA from the University of Georgia. She was accepted to the Yale Brissago (Switzerland) Summer Program and received her MFA (graphic design) from the Yale School of Art, where she was awarded the Alexei Brodovitch Prize.
Patricia is an elected member of the Madison Art Society; an associate member of the Lyme Art Association, Pastel Society of America, and Oil Painters of America; a member of the Connecticut Pastel Society and Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts.
